These are managed by myself and my wife, Deb – no agencies are involved – and we like to think that we offer a quality service regarding accommodation for students attending University in Stoke. We have recently celebrated our 13th successful year of providing Student houses in Stoke-on-Trent, so I hope that inspires confidence that we have some idea of what we are doing!

Typically, tenants will be students who have spent their first year in the University “Halls of Residence” and are looking to move into private student accommodation for the 2nd and 3rd years.
Finding somewhere suitable to live is important. Besides the location, you need to be confident that the home you’re moving to is properly maintained, comfortable, and as safe and secure as possible.
Besides not asking for a large deposit, we charge a very competitive and fair rent which includes the household bills! This rent & bills “combo”, is a single payment monthly or termly, to cover both the rent, all household utility bills, TV licence and fast cable broadband. This makes it very easy to budget and ensures the lights stay on and the house stays warm! Most students really appreciate this service, as it means they can just move in and concentrate on what is important to them, rather than try and work out who to pay, how much to pay, when to pay, etc. We take care of all that. See the individual properties for exact details, but as a guide per person, rents are in the range of just £50 to £65 per week, with the additional bills’ “contribution” being currently either £10 or £12 per week. I think you will find this very competitive.
We have a programme of continually upgrading the properties, both in terms of the structure and contents, with a policy of replacing “old with new” – not secondhand, wherever possible.
All our properties have a “Gas Safe” safety check annually, an NIC/EIC Electrical Safety Inspection Certificate, Energy Performance Certificate, and are equipped with mains powered smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fire blankets, etc. They all comply with current housing legislation and local council regulations in respect of planning, Building Control, Environmental Health and Fire regulations. The gas boilers are professionally serviced every 12 months and the cookers thoroughly tested at the same time as the safety check is done, for maximum safety.
